Sabrina Friedl, Chair
Sabrina studies Computer Science at LMU. She is fascinated by Data Science and Machine Learning, especially by probabilistiy and causal models. Currently, she is writing her Master thesis on Causality at the Data Science@LMU group. Earlier, she did her Bachelor in a dual program with SAP and spent a semester at ETH Zurich. Besides travelling, she loves to go rock climbing or mountaineering.
Alexander studies computer science at the LMU munich. Before that, he studied business where he was most fascinated by predictive modelling and data analysis which led him to pursue a career in AI. He is fascinated by the various aspects of AI and Data Science and loves taking part in AI/DS hackathons and competitions. When he is not working on his computer, there is a good chance you will find him playing some kind of outdoor sport or on a running trail.
Natalia is currently a student of Computer Science and Statistics, B.Sc., at LMU Munich. She is also a holder of Degrees in International Relations and Political Science and has broad interests comprising the study of political systems, peacekeeping and defense policy, quantitative research methods in social sciences including machine learning, as well as programming in general and data science.
Sricharan is pursuing a master’s degree in Informatics at TUM and wants to work on data sciences and computer vision. Previously, Sricharan was an Associate Consultant at SAP. He believes in the ideologies of internet neutrality and free/libre software and is currently acting as a secretary and chapter voting delegate for Internet Society India Bangalore chapter.
Homa is a M.Sc. Student in Informatics. Originally from Iran, the recent developments have stirred her interest in the refugee and migrant crisis. As a consequence, she helped organized the first ever refugee hackathon in Munich: Hack'n'Help. Currently, she is working on semi-supervised learning in deep generative models. Besides that, she is an amazing cook.
Eileen has a B.Sc. in Business Administration with focus on management science and supply chain management, a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and is currently doing a Master of Science. Besides her love for travel (she studied in UK, Australia and Munich), she is deeply interested in future technologies (especially autonomous driving).
Caner is a PhD student at the Computer Vision Group, TUM. He is working on deep learning for computer vision applications in the fields of semantic segmentation, object recognition/classification, optical flow and depth from focus. He is a deep visioner and loves deep discussions in philosophy, history (ancient civilizations are his favorite) and technology.
Peter is a first year CS student at Technical University of Munich and fascinated by machine learning, data science, database engineering and any kind of application development. He lives and loves open-source, is a frequent PyCon speaker and currently interning with Google in London.
Dmitrii is a M.Sc. Student in Informatics at TUM. Having worked at a retail software start up with huge torrents of data has ignited his passion for harvesting knowledge hidden in data. In his spare time, he is predicting, who will die next in Game of Thrones. This work was featured in The Guardian, Times Magazine, BBC and many others.
