David Dao, Chair
David is a TUM M.Sc. Student and an affiliated researcher at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. In his previous life, he worked in particle physics at CERN.
Eileen Zhang, Treasurer
Eileen has a B.Sc. in Business Administration with focus on management science and supply chain management, a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and is currently doing a Master of Science. Besides her love for travel (she studied in UK, Australia and Munich), she is deeply interested in future technologies (especially autonomous driving).
Peter is a first year CS student at Technical University of Munich and fascinated by machine learning, data science, database engineering and any kind of application development. He lives and loves open-source, is a frequent PyCon speaker and currently interning with Google in London.
Sabrina is currently studying CS at LMU and geophysics at TUM. Before that she studied business information technology in the dual system with SAP. She is fascinated with machine learning (especially causality). If she is not in Munich, she is probably traveling the world and conquering a mountain.
Homa is a M.Sc. Student in Informatics. Originally from Iran, the recent developments have stirred her interest in the refugee and migrant crisis. As a consequence, she helped organized the first ever refugee hackathon in Munich: Hack'n'Help. Currently, she is working on semi-supervised learning in deep generative models. Besides that, she is an amazing cook.
Dmitrii is a M.Sc. Student in Informatics at TUM. Having worked at a retail software start up with huge torrents of data has ignited his passion for harvesting knowledge hidden in data. In his spare time, he is predicting, who will die next in Game of Thrones. This work was featured in The Guardian, Times Magazine, BBC and many others.
Caner is a PhD student at the Computer Vision Group, TUM. He is working on deep learning for computer vision applications in the fields of semantic segmentation, object recognition/classification, optical flow and depth from focus. He is a deep visioner and loves deep discussions in philosophy, history (ancient civilizations are his favorite) and technology.
Iris is a PhD student at ETHZ doing her thesis on mobile healthcare. She holds a B.Sc with highest distinction from Taiwan, a M.Sc from TUM and is addicted to GitHub commits and Netflix series.
